Why Did We Name The App KinectedCare?
The app is named KinectedCare to reflect its core mission of keeping seniors and their families seamlessly “connected” through technology-based care, without the stigma or discomfort of traditional medical alert devices. The name highlights the unique way the app binds caregivers, family, and friends together into a supportive “CareView,” offering collective vigilance and instant group response—so everyone is “connected” in real time whenever help is needed.
Choosing “Kinected” underscores the seamless, active communication between seniors and their support network. The app leverages smartphones, not pendants, making it modern, non-intrusive, and integrated into daily life. Whether it’s daily health updates, fall alerts, or the distinctive group “Help Me” call function, every feature is designed so that families remain closely linked (“kinected”) to their aging loved ones’ well-being—even from a distance.
By combining “kin,” evoking family ties, with “connected,” the name KinectedCare expresses a commitment to compassionate, collective support, empowering seniors to live independently while ensuring safety, dignity, and peace of mind for everyone involved.

1 Fall detection requires the use of a fall detection capable smartwatch or other capable device that provides health data to Apple and/or Google platforms. Fall detection is not available in all countries and dependent on environmental factors and network connectivity. Fall detection with a smartwatch may not detect all falls. Users must grant health and location permission. Cellular and network data rates may apply. Fall notifications are not a substitute for emergency services.
