A Smartwatch is Highly Recommended For a CareReceiver
We strongly recommend that a parent or grandparent who is the CareReceiver wear a smartwatch. KinectedCare does not require the use of a smartwatch, but many data types are only available with a smartwatch.
Smartwatches offer powerful health and safety advantages beyond traditional timekeeping. They continuously track data such as heart rate, blood oxygen levels, sleep quality, stress, and activity, giving users a comprehensive view of their well-being. Advanced models include fall detection1 that automatically alerts emergency contacts or services, a life-saving feature for seniors or active users. GPS integration supports navigation and fitness tracking, while notifications and reminders improve daily organization. Some models monitor irregular heart rhythms or detect crashes, providing proactive health alerts. Overall, smartwatches combine safety, convenience, and personalized health insights in one discreet, wearable device.
1 Fall detection requires the use of a fall detection capable smartwatch or other capable device that provides health data to Apple and/or Google platforms. Fall detection is not available in all countries and dependent on environmental factors and network connectivity. Fall detection with a smartwatch may not detect all falls.
