A critical notification goes to the whole CareTeam at once. It can arrive with the phone locked and the app closed, and past silent and Do Not Disturb where your device settings allow.1

Tapping the alert opens one screen for the person who pressed HELP: a map with her recent location trail, her phone’s battery, and Call and Navigate. It says so plainly when a location is old or approximate.
Her phone speaks for her.
While HELP is active, her phone shows a screen anyone can read: her name, the people who care for her with a Call button for each, and a button to call emergency services. Whoever is with her chooses to call; KinectedCare does not dial for them.
Screens are illustrations with example names and data. The real emergency screens do not animate; this shows the order of events. During a HELP event her precise location and CareTeam details are shared with the people who need them; otherwise location is shared coarsely. KinectedCare is not an emergency service.
If their watch detects a fall, the family finds out.
A fall-detection-capable watch detects the fall, and its own system handles the emergency response. KinectedCare then tells the CareTeam, so the people who love them know too, not just a call center.1
If their phone goes quiet, their CareGivers are told.
An alert can only leave a phone that is on and connected. KinectedCare keeps a simple “still here” check as part of KinectedGuard, and if the phone goes dark, a dead battery or a lost signal, their CareGivers are told, so no one is trusting a safety net that is down.
