What it does

• A HELP button on the phone and the watch (Apple Watch and Wear OS) that alerts every member of the CareTeam at once.
• Fall notification: when a fall-detection-capable smartwatch detects a fall, the watch’s own operating system handles the emergency response and KinectedCare notifies the CareTeam.
• A shared CareTeam with notes and a CareLog, so family see the same picture.
• A daily snapshot of sleep, steps and stairs, shared only with the person’s permission.

What it does not do

• It does not detect falls. Detection is the watch’s feature, it is not available on every model or in every country, and it may not detect every fall.
• It is not a medical device or an emergency service, and it does not call emergency services.
• It does not read heart rate or other vital signs, and it is not an automatic monitoring service. Alerts come when the person presses HELP or the watch detects a fall.
• It does not manage or track medications, and it does not claim end-to-end encryption.

Cost

Care coordination is free, with no time limit. The optional safety layer, KinectedGuard (the HELP button and priority alert delivery), has a 14-day free trial and then a quarterly subscription priced for each country. The App Store or Google Play shows the price for your country. If a subscription lapses, the family is told before coverage ends and the app returns to the free layer.

Privacy

• No ads, no data harvesting, and no selling or sharing of personal information.
• No third-party analytics, advertising or tracking SDKs in the app. Data is encrypted in transit.
• Passwordless sign-in with an email one-time code.
• Health, location and activity data stay within the family’s CareTeam, with consent.
